Kawakawa is one of the most important medicinal plants native to New Zealand and is recognisable by its holey, heart shaped leaves. Preparations made from the mature leaves are used in traditional rongoā in cases of eczema, dermatitis and minor wounds to reduce inflammation. The inflammatory activity is attributed to myristicin & elemicin found in its volatile oils. Kawakawa is known to prevent infection, soothe pain, increase circulation and aid healing.
Suitable for All skin types especially damaged, inflamed or sensitive skin.
Directions Apply to affected areas as needed to heal irritated skin.
