Expectorant Tea Blend

The term expectorant is used in herbal medicine to describe herbs that help to remove excess phlegm and mucous from the lungs. Easing coughs and colds. 

 

ELDERFLOWER Sambucus nigra 

Is used to support the immune system during the early stages of infection. 

 

MULLEIN Verbascum thapsus

Used to remove phlegm from the lungs and soothe painful coughs. 

 

THYME Thymus vulgaris 

Is used for its expectorant, antispasmodic and antibacterial properties in the treatment of dry unproductive coughs. 

 

ECHINACEA ROOT Echinacea angustifolia

Used to enhance immunity, build resistance to infection and aid recovery.

 

ANISEED Pimpinella anisum 

As a warming aromatic it may aid in the relief of coughs, colds and shallow breathing.

 

HYSSOP Hyssopus officinalis

A soothing and decongesting tonic for the respiratory tract, helping to reduce inflammation and expel mucus from the lungs. 

 

Directions Infuse 2 teaspoons of your herbal tea in freshly boiled water for 5 minutes or longer. Drink 1 to 3 cups daily.

 

Ingredients Elderflower* (Sambucus nigra), Mullein* (Verbascum thapsus), Thyme (Thymus vulgaris), Echinacea* (Echinacea angustifolia), Aniseed* (Pimpinella anisum) and Hyssop* (Hyssopus officinalis). *Organic.
